“Smart Metering” Solutions Engineer

We are hiring science and engineering graduates with communication and sales skills as a technical sales engineer

As a Smart Metering Solutions engineer, you'll use your technical knowledge along with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of products, for which a good level of expertise is needed.

You'll prepare bids and tenders for clients from a technical perspective. You will follow-up these bids and tenders and turn into orders.

Our clients are usually technical staff from non-retail organizations, such as utilities, EPCs, power producers, and factories.

Besides technical sales related tasks, responsibilities of this position consists of other technical tasks such as testing and programming products, project management and software engineering of smart metering projects. Part of these tasks may require site visits time to time.

Responsibilities

As a Smart Metering Solutions engineer, you'll need to:

  • test and program products to customer requirements

  • prepare technical support material for users and internal team members

  • provide pre-sales and after-sales technical assistance and product education

  • take care of engineering for smart metering projects and project management

  • search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services

  • develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements

  • persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery; make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs

  • negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs

  • calculate client quotations and administer client accounts, analyze costs and sales

  • support marketing activities by attending marketing events

Skills

You'll need to have:

  • good command of Turkish and English

  • engineering degree in electrical/electronic/communication/ energy or a related field

  • sales skills

  • communication skills

  • sound judgement and good business sense

  • organizational skills

  • Team working ability

  • the ability to build relationships quickly and effectively

  • analytical and problem-solving skills

  • resilience and tenacity

  • class B driving license

  • independence and self-reliance

  • previous work experience especially in a related field is a plus.
